Bronwyn Harch is a Senior Principal Research Scientist in CSIRO's Division of Mathematical and Information Sciences, where she leads the Environmental Monitoring and Modelling theme and co-ordinates research effort in the Program of Environmental Informatics. She is also an Adjunct Professor with the Centre for Riverine Landscapes at Griffith University. She has over 30 scientific journal papers in the areas of statistical design of environmental sampling protocols and integrated environmental monitoring programs, as well as the statistical modelling of environmental systems.
Xiaofang Zhou is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Queensland, the Head of the Data and Knowledge Engineering Research Group (DKE) and also the Convenor of ARC Research Network in Enterprise Information Infrastructure (EII). His research focuses include spatial and multimedia databases, data quality, high performance query processing, Web information systems and bioinformatics. Prof Zhou will be co-supervising the three PhD students funded through the related ARC Linkage project.
Bernard Pailthorpe is a Foundation Professor of Computational Science at UQ and CEO of QCIF/QPSF. He was Professor of Physics and founding director of the Sydney VisLab at the University of Sydney. Prior to moving to UQ, he was Associate Director at the San Diego Supercomputer Centre and a key partner in NPACI, the US National Partnership in Advanced Computing Infrastructure.
